In Austin Texas, Zach Zubia drove in a pair of runs, and Ty Madden allowed three hits and one earned run over seven innings as Texas handed South Carolina its first loss of the season. Zubia’s two-run double keyed a three-run eighth inning as the Longhorns (9-5) broke a 1-1 tie. Thomas Farr turned in a terrific start for the Gamecocks (11-1) with 10 strikeouts and one earned run in six innings.
Pittsburgh 11, No. 10 Georgia Tech 9 (box score)
In Atlanta, David Yanni hit a two-run homer, Kyle Hess had a two-run single and Pittsburgh added three runs on Georgia Tech miscues as the Panthers scored seven times in the top of the ninth to beat the Yellow Jackets. Pitt (5-2, 8-3) scored all of its runs in the final three innings, rallying from an 8-4 deficit in the ninth inning. Tres Gonzalez went 3 for 4 with two doubles, a run and two RBI for Tech (5-2, 8-4).
Jacksonville 10, No. 4 Florida 9 (box score)
In Gainesville, Fla., Ruben Someillan drove in three, and Jesus Pacheco had a two-run triple as Jacksonville knocked off Florida. The Dolphins (4-8) scored three times in the seventh, once in the eighth and four times in the ninth off the Gators’ bullpen. Florida (11-4) rallied for four in the ninth on two-run homers from Josh Rivera and Jud Fabian. Kris Armstrong homered and drove in three for Florida in the loss.
No. 1 Arkansas 9, Louisiana Tech 7 (10) (boxscore)
In Ruston, La., Arkansas (11-0) scored three in the eighth to tie the game and won it with two in the 10th at LT (8-4).
No. 3 Ole Miss 10, ULM 1 (box score)
In Oxford, Miss., Tim Elko hit a grand slam as part of a four-RBI night, and Gunnar Hoglund struck out 14 and allowed two hits in six scoreless innings as Ole Miss blanked ULM. Kevin Graham added three hits, including a solo homer, and two runs, and Jacob Gonzalez and Peyton Chatagnier each had three hits for the Rebels (12-2), who pulled away with five runs in the third.
No. 7 Texas Tech 4, UConn 3 (boxscore)
In Lubbock, Texas, Cal Conley went 4 for 4 with three RBI as TTU edged UConn. Conley had a two-run double in the bottom of the first to erase a 1-0 deficit and added a run-scoring single in the third. Brandon Birdsell (2-0, 6 IP, 4 H, R, 3 BB, 5 K) earned the win, while Connor Queen recorded the final two outs to record his first save for the Red Raiders (11-3). The Huskies (4-7) had the potential tying run thrown out at the plate to end the game. Pat Winkel went 1 for 2 with one walk, one run and one RBI for UConn.

In Coral Gables, Fla., Alejandro Rosario tossed seven innings of one-hit ball with seven strikeouts, and Anthony Vilar went 3 for 4 with a homer, two runs and three RBI as Miami blanked Wake Forest in the ACC. Christian Del Castillo added two hits, two runs and three RBI for the Hurricanes (4-3, 7-4), who scored five runs in the fifth and scored in each inning thereafter. The Demon Deacons (1-3, 3-5) only managed two hits.
No. 12 East Carolina 7, Charlotte 4 (boxscore)
In Greenville, N.C., Ben Newton went 3 for 3 with a double and three RBI as ECU defeated Charlotte. Newton had an RBI double in the second to start the scoring, delivered an RBI single in the fourth to snap a 2-2 tie, and added a run-scoring single in the seventh to complete the scoring. Bryson Worrell went 3 for 3 with two doubles, two steals and three runs for the Pirates (11-2). David McCabe homered twice and knocked in three for the 49ers (8-4).
No. 18 LSU 3, UTSA 1 (boxscore)
In Baton Rouge, La., LSU snapped a 1-1 tie with a pair in the bottom of the eighth to edge UTSA. Gavin Dugas drove in two, while Cade Doughty went deep for the Tigers (12-3). Jaden Hill tossed 6.2 scoreless innings with six strikeouts in the start for LSU. Garrett Edwards worked a perfect ninth for his first save. Ian Bailey had two hits, including a double, for the Roadrunners (5-4).
Florida State 6, No. 19 Virginia Tech 4 (boxscore)
In Blacksburg, Va., Logan Lacey had a two-run homer in the eighth to put FSU ahead for good in the ACC series opener at VT. The Seminoles (3-4, 5-5) scored all six of their runs over their final four at-bats. Robby Martin had two hits and two RBI for FSU. Gavin Cross and Kevin Madden both homered for the Hokies (4-3, 8-4). Peyton Alford fanned 10 over 5.2 innings for VT.
No. 20 Tennessee 6, UNCG 2 (boxscore)
In Knoxville, Tenn., Jordan Beck drove in three as UT defeated UNCG to kick off their weekend set. Beck had a two-run double in the fourth to start the scoring. He added a sacrifice fly in the eighth for an insurance run. Chad Dallas (2-0, 5.1 IP, H, R, 2 BB, 7 K) picked up the win, while Redmond Walsh fanned five of the six batters he faced to register his third save for the Volunteers (12-3). Corey Rosier and Pres Cavenaugh both homered for the Spartans (10-3).
