No. 1 UCLA 11, No. 2 Stanford 5

In Stanford, Calif., Michael Toglia went 2 for 4 with a homer, a two-run shot in the fourth that gave UCLA a 5-4 lead, and five RBI, and Jack Stronach went 4 for 5 with three runs and two RBI as the Bruins evened their Pac-12 showdown series with Stanford. UCLA (8-3, 22-6) pounded out 15 hits, getting three hits and two runs from Michael Garrett, two hits and two runs from Ryan Kreidler and two hits, three RBI and a run from Jake Pries. Jack Ralston improved to 5-0 with five innings and five runs, two earned. Will Matthiessen, Friday’s hero, had two RBI, and Andrew Daschbach added two hits and two RBI for the Cardinal (7-1, 20-4).

No. 7 Georgia 8, No. 4 Vanderbilt 3

In Athens, Ga., Riley King went 2 for 3 with a grand slam and two runs, and Randon Jernigan went 2 for 3 with two runs and an RBI as Georgia evened its series with Vanderbilt. C.J. Smith was masterful, allowing three hits and two earned runs in seven innings for the Bulldogs (8-3, 26-6). Harrison Ray went 2 for 4 with a solo homer for the Commodores (7-4, 24-7).

USC 7, No. 6 Arizona State 3

In Los Angeles, CJ Stubbs and Matthew Acosta each had two hits, a homer and two RBI, and Ben Ramirez went 3 for 3 with a run as USC evened its series with Arizona State. Carson Lambert tossed 1.1 innings of relief to pick up the win for the Trojans (5-6, 12-17) after Isaac Esqueda pitched into the sixth inning, yielding three runs to the powerful Sun Devils lineup. Spencer Torkelson and Alika Williams each hit solo homers for ASU (8-3, 25-4).   

No. 3 NC State 16, Boston College 4

In Brighton, Mass., Evan Edwards went 3 for 4 with a homer, three runs and four RBI, and Lawson McArthur added two hits and four RBI as NC State beat Boston College for the second straight day. Reid Johnston tossed seven innings with three earned runs for the Wolfpack (12-2, 29-3), who scored five in the third and six in the sixth. Jack Cunningham went 2 for 4 with a triple, homer, two runs and two RBI for the Eagles (5-9, 14-17).

In Corvallis, Ore., Fehmel tossed a five-hit shutout in the opener and Jones delivered a game-winning RBI double in the bottom of the 11th in Game 2 as OSU completed a Pac-12 series sweep of Utah. Fehmel (5-0) did not walk a batter and struck out four in Game 1. Adley Rutschman went 3 for 4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI to lead the offense for the Beavers (9-3, 23-6-1). Briley Knight went 2 for 3 for the Utes (1-11, 8-18). In the nightcap, Rutschman (2 for 5, 2 R) homered in the eighth to tie the game at 2-2 and scored the game-winner in the 11th. Mulholland (2-0, 4.2 IP, 3 H, BB, 5 K) earned the win. Chase Fernlund had two hits for Utah.

Tennessee 2, No. 8 Mississippi State 1

In Knoxville, Tenn., Zach Linginfelter allowed one earned run in 6.2 innings, and Redmond Walsh closed with three strikeouts and no hits over the final 2.1 innings as Tennessee evened its series with Mississippi State. The Volunteers (4-7, 23-9) were shut down by Peyton Plumlee (5.1 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 ER), but scored two runs on a Plumlee error. Justin Foscue drove in the lone run for the Bulldogs (6-5, 26-6).

No. 9 Arkansas 8, No. 16 Auburn 0

In Auburn, Ala., Patrick Wicklander turned in five scoreless innings with two hits and six strikeouts, and Trevor Ezell hit a three-run homer to make it a 5-0 game in the fifth as Arkansas won the rubber game of its series with Auburn. Heston Kjerstad had two hits and two RBI, and Christian Franklin contributed two hits and two runs for the Razorbacks (8-4, 24-8). Edouard Julien had two of the five hits for the Tigers (7-5, 23-9).

No. 10 Texas A&M 6-3, No. 12 LSU 4-9   Game 1 box   Game 2 box

In Baton Rouge, La., Asa Lacy allowed one hit, walked four and struck out 11 in six scoreless innings, and Cam Blake had two hits, including a three-run double, as Texas A&M won the first game of a doubleheader with LSU. The Aggies took advantage of five Tigers errors, scoring three unearned runs. Cade Beloso went 3 for 4 with an RBI for LSU. In the nightcap, Cole Henry (3-1, 6 H, 2 R) fanned nine in eight innings for the Tigers (8-4, 23-10). Zach Watson (4 for 5, 3B, 3 R, 3 RBI) and Josh Smith (2 for 4, 2 R, 2 RBI) both homered for LSU. Mikey Hoehner had two hits and two RBI for the Aggies (7-4-1, 25-8-1).

No. 19 Clemson 6, No. 11 Louisville 3

In Clemson, S.C., Mat Clark worked 7.1 innings with four hits and one earned run, and Grayson Byrd went 2 for 4 with a homer and three RBI as Clemson beat Louisville for the second straight day. Sam Hall added two hits, a run and two RBI, and Bryar Hawkins chipped in with a solo homer for the Tigers (11-3, 24-7). Jake Snider went 2 for 4 with a run for the Cardinals (9-5, 23-8).

Georgia Tech 11, No. 12 North Carolina 10

In Atlanta, Tristan English hit for the cycle, the first for Georgia Tech since Richard Lewis in 2001, on a day when he went 4 for 5 with five runs and three RBI as the Yellow Jackets blew a big lead against North Carolina and won when Michael Guldberg delivered a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth. Colin Hall had three hits and three RBI as the Yellow Jackets (8-6, 21-10) led 9-2 after six. But Danny Serretti, who went 5 for 5 with three doubles, two runs and four RBI, and the Tar Heels (8-6, 23-8) closed with two in the seventh, two in the eighth and four in the ninth to tie the game at 10.

No. 14 East Carolina 15-3, Houston 3-1   Game 1 box   Game 2 box

In Houston, Spencer Brickhouse homered twice and knocked in six in the opener, and Jake Washer went deep in both games, as ECU took two from UH to win their American series. Brickhouse had a two-run homer in the first to start the scoring for the Pirates (8-1, 24-7). He added a grand slam in the sixth to give ECU an 8-2 advantage. Washer (2 for 4, 2B, 2 R, 3 RBI) had a two-run dinger in the seventh. Lael Lockhart, Jr. homered for the Cougars (3-6, 17-15). In Game 2, Joe Davis (2 for 3) homered in the first for UH. Washer tied it with a dinger in the seventh and a run-scoring single by Ryder Giles later in the frame put ECU on top for good.

No. 15 Texas Tech 19, Kansas 4

In Lubbock, Texas, Josh Jung walked with the bases loaded and later added a two-run double, both in a 13-run fourth, as TTU secured a Big 12 series win over Kansas. Brian Klein went 3 for 4 with two runs and three RBI for the Red Raiders (5-3, 21-8). Casey Burnham went 1 for 4 with one run and one RBI for the Jayhawks (1-7, 15-15).

No. 17 Texas 8, Baylor 6

In Waco, Texas, Lance Ford had two hits and knocked in four as UT evened its Big 12 series at BU. Davis Wendzel (3 for 5, 2 R, 2 RBI) had an RBI single and scored in a three-run first, and added an RBI double and scored in the fifth as the Bears (6-2, 22-8) built a 5-0 lead. Austin Todd had a two-run homer in the sixth and Ford added a two-run single later in the frame as the Longhorns (4-4, 21-13) pulled within one. A two-run single by Tate Shaw in the seventh put UT ahead for good and Ford was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to make it a two-run advantage. Ford added an RBI double in the ninth before BU tacked on an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth.

Ole Miss 16-12, No. 18 Florida 4-10   Game 1 box   Game 2 box

In Oxford, Miss., Grae Kessinger went 5 for 5 with two doubles and five RBI as Ole Miss completed an SEC series sweep of UF. Kessinger had an RBI single in the third and two-run doubles in both the fourth and fifth for the Rebels (8-4, 23-10). Thomas Dillard had four hits and three runs for Ole Miss. Austin Langworthy had a two-run double in the eighth for the Gators (4-8, 21-13). In the nightcap, Cole Zabowski went 2 for 4 with a homer, three runs and three RBI to lead the Rebel offense. He scored on a balk in the sixth to break a 10-10 tie. Brady McConnell went 3 for 5 with two runs, while Cory Acton had two doubles and scored twice for UF.

No. 20 UC Irvine 4, Long Beach State 1

In Irvine, Calif., Tanner Brubaker tossed a six-hitter as UCI clinched a Big West series win over LBSU. Brubaker (4-1) did not walk a batter and struck out eight. Calvin Estrada homered in the second for the Dirtbags (0-2, 4-25). Brendan Brooks tied the game in the seventh by knocking in a run on a fielder’s choice. Adrian Damla had an RBI single in the eighth to break the deadlock and Christian Koss followed with a two-run single for the Anteaters (4-1, 20-5).
