No. 6 Kentucky 11, No. 3 Texas Tech 6
In Lexington, Ky., Troy Squires went 4 for 5 with a homer, two runs and four RBI, and Kentucky broke a 5-5 tie with three RBI bunt singles in a five-run sixth inning to beat Texas Tech for the second straight day. Ben Aklinksi went 2 for 4 with three runs and an RBI as the Wildcats (14-2) scored in double digits for the second straight day. Josh Jung had two hits and three RBI for the Red Raiders (14-2).
Wake Forest 4-8, No. 4 Florida State 3-1
In Winston-Salem, N.C., DJ Poteet hit a game-winning two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth of the first game, and Morgan McSweeney allowed three hits and one run and struck out seven in 6.1 innings as Wake Forest swept a doubleheader from Florida State to win their ACC series. In the second game, Johnny Aiello had two hits and two RBI, and Patrick Frick went 3 for 5 with two runs and an RBI for the Demon Deacons (2-1, 7-9). Rhett Alpin had three hits with a run and an RBI in the doubleheader for the Seminoles (1-2,14-2).
No. 5 Stanford 9, No. 20 Texas 3
In Austin, Texas, Kyle Stowers went 2 for 4 with a three-run homer and two runs, and Andrew Daschbach added two hits and three RBI as Stanford topped Texas for the second straight day of their four-game series. Austin Weiermiller (2.1 IP, 0 R, 3K) earned the win, and Jack Little posted his sixth save with one hit and five strikeouts in three scoreless innings. Zach Zubia hit a three-run home for the Longhorns (9-6).
No. 1 Florida 9-3, Rhode Island 2-2
In Gainesville, Fla., Jordan Butler delivered a game-winning single to score Deacon Liput as Florida edged Rhode Island in the second game Saturday and complete a weekend sweep of the Rams. Earlier in the day, JJ Schwarz, Jonathan India and Austin Langworthy each drove in two runs as the Gators (15-3) coasted past the Rams (2-11).
No. 2 Oregon State 6, Cal State Fullerton 4
In Corvallis, Ore., Andy Armstrong drove in a pair of runs, and Michael Gretler went 3 for 5 with a run as Oregon State evened its series with Cal State Fullerton. Trailing 4-0, the Titans (4-9) scored four in the sixth – three on Chris Prescott’s homer – to tie the game. But the Beavers (14-1) took advantage of an error, and Jack Anderson (2 for 4, R) added an RBI single as they answered with two runs in the bottom of the sixth.
No. 9 Texas A&M 7, Northwestern State 6 (11)
In College Station, Texas, Baine Schoenvogel had a game-winning RBI double to score pinch-runner Cole Taylor as Texas A&M squeaked past Northwestern State. Chris Andritsos went 3 for 6 with two runs, and Logan Foster added a two-run homer for the Aggies (13-1). Luke Watson went 4 for 5 with a run and an RBI for the Demons (7-6).
No. 10 Clemson 7-13, Georgia Tech 3-2
In Clemson, S.C., Logan Davidson drove in three, and Grayson Byrd went 3 for 5 with two runs and two RBI as Clemson scored seven times in the first inning to sweep a doubleheader from Georgia Tech and sweep their ACC series. Seth Beer homered in each game, and Patrick Cromwell and Chris Williams each had three hits and two runs in the opener for the Tigers (3-0, 15-1). Kyle McCann homered and drove in two for the Yellow Jackets (0-3, 9-6) in the second game.
No. 13 Louisville 6, North Carolina 4
In Louisville, Ky., Shay Smiddy fanned a career-high seven as UL clinched an ACC series win over UNC. Smiddy (2-0) went five innings with three hits, two runs (one earned) and four walks. Sam Bordner worked a scoreless ninth for his sixth save. Devin Mann had a three-run double in the third to erase a 2-0 deficit for the Cardinals (2-0, 14-0). Jake Snider added a two-run double in the fourth for UL. Kyle Datres went 2 for 5 with one RBI for the Tar Heels (0-2, 7-7).
No. 15 Indiana 3, Pacific 1
In Bloomington, Ind., Pauly Milto struck out nine in seven innings as IU edged Pacific. Milto (3-1) allowed three hits, three walks and one run. Matt Lloyd fanned two in a scoreless ninth to notch his second save. The Hoosiers (10-4) scored twice in the seventh to snap a 1-1 tie. Colby Stratten had two doubles and Logan Sowers knocked in two for IU. Tyler Ryan went 2 for 4 with a double and a run for the Tigers (7-9).
No. 8 TCU at No. 11 UCLA and No. 14 Vanderbilt at USC were canceled due to inclement weather.
