In Los Angeles, Michael Gretler delivered an RBI single in the top of the ninth to snap a 1-1 tie and propel OSU to a Pac-12 series win at UCLA. Following six scoreless innings, Jack Stronach had an RBI double in the bottom of the seventh for the Bruins (10-8, 18-18). Tyler Malone had a sacrifice fly in the eighth for the Beavers (16-2, 32-3) to even the score at 1-1. Jake Thompson (7.0 IP, 3 H, R, 2 BB, 3 K) gave a strong start for OSU. Mitchell Verburg (1-0, 1.0 IP, H) earned the victory, while Brandon Eisert fanned the final batter with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth to record his first save. Jon Olsen (6.1 IP, 2 H, 4 BB, 4 K) was terrific in the start for UCLA.
No. 11 Kentucky 10, No. 9 LSU 2
In Lexington, Ky., Justin Lewis tossed a six-hitter as UK earned an SEC series win over LSU. Lewis (6-2) allowed one earned run with one walk and six strikeouts. The Wildcats (12-6, 28-13) scored four in the first and added three in the third and fourth to take control. Kole Cottam went 2 for 5 with a double, a homer, three runs and three RBI to lead the UK attack. Nick Coomes went deep for the Tigers (10-8, 27-14).
No 10 Auburn 11, No. 12 Arkansas 6
In Auburn, Ala., Josh Anthony went 4 for 5 with two doubles, two runs and three RBI as Auburn claimed an SEC series win over Arkansas. Luke Jarvis (3 for 4, 2 2B, HR, 3 R) also knocked in three for the Tigers (12-6, 30-12). Chad Spanberger was 4 for 5 with two RBI for the Razorbacks (12-6, 32-10).
No. 2 Louisville 10, Duke 0
In Louisville, Ky., Nick Bennett tossed seven scoreless innings as UL won its ACC series vs. Duke. Bennett (4-0) allowed four hits and fanned five. Devin Mann had a two-run double and scored in the second, and added a run in a seven-run seventh for the Cardinals (17-4, 33-6). Zack Kone and Max Miller both doubled for the Blue Devils (8-13, 21-21).
Pittsburgh 11, No. 3 North Carolina 9
In Pittsburgh, Jacob Wright went 2 for 4 with a homer and three RBI as Pitt avoided the ACC sweep to UNC. Nico Popa went 1 for 3 with a triple, two runs and two RBI for the Panthers (8-13, 17-20). Brian Miller with 3 for 4 with two doubles, a homer, two runs and four RBI for the Tar Heels (16-5, 31-9).
Oklahoma State 3, No. 5 Texas Tech 1 (11 innings)
In Lubbbock, Texas, Garrett Benge had a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth and added an RBI single in the top 11th as OSU won its Big 12 series at TTU. Ryan Cash (1 for 4, BB) scored twice for the Cowboys (6-9, 23-16). Carson Teel (4-3, 2.0 IP, 2 H, BB, 2 K) registered the win. Orlando Garcia (2 for 5) went deep in the seventh for the Red Raiders (9-6, 33-10).
No. 6 TCU 8, Baylor 5
In Fort Worth, Texas, Austen Wade went 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI as TCU captured its Big 12 series against Baylor. Cam Warner (2 for 5) and Evan Skoug also went deep for the Horned Frogs (11-4, 30-8). Brian Howard (6-2, 5.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, BB, 6 K) earned the win, while Dalton Brown struck out the final batter to record his first save. Richard Cunningham had two hits and two RBI for the Bears (6-9, 24-16).
Cal Poly 8, No. 8 Cal State Fullerton 4
In San Luis Obispo, Calif., Kevin Morgan had a two-run double to spark a five-run second as Cal Poly won its Big West series against Fullerton. Alex McKenna went 4 for 5 with a double, a homer, two runs and two RBI for the Mustangs (8-4, 18-20). Timmy Richards was 3 for 5 with a homer and two RBI for the Titans (6-3, 24-14).
Old Dominion 9, No 20 Southern Miss 2
In Hattiesburg, Miss., leadoff hitter Kyle Battle had four hits and three runs as ODU snared a C-USA series win at Southern Miss. Zach Rutherford (3 for 4, 2B, 2 R) and Vinnie Pasquantino (2 for 4) both drove in three for the Monarchs (12-6, 28-12). Cole Donaldson went 2 for 3 with one RBI for the Golden Eagles (13-5, 30-12).
