In Houston, Dane Myers had two hits and two runs, and Glenn Otto worked out of a jam in the ninth inning as Rice edged Texas A&M. Hunter Kopycinski had a two-run double to key a three-run third inning for the Owls (18-10), who have won nine of 10. Hunter Melton went 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI for the Aggies (22-7), who scored an unearned run in the ninth and had the tying run on base before Otto (3-1) ended the game with a strikeout.

In Gainesville, Fla., Nelson Maldonado went 2 for 3 with a homer and three RBI, and Jonathan India contributed two RBI as Florida got past Jacksonville. Scott Moss (1-0) struck out four in three scoreless innings to pick up the win for the Gators (28-3), who led 4-1 before scoring a run in the seventh and two more in the eighth to pull away. Austin Hays went 2 for 3 with a run for the Dolphins (17-11).

In Coral Gables, Fla., Jesse Lepore pitched seven shutout innings as Miami blanked FGCU. Lepore (4-0) walked one and matched his career best with seven strikeouts. The Hurricanes (24-4) scored three in the sixth and added an insurance run in the eighth. Brandon Lopez had three hits and two RBI, while Jacob Heyward added two hits and two runs for Miami. Matt Reardon had a pair of hits for the Eagles (13-16).

In Nashville, Tenn., Jeren Kendall had a two-run double to spark a four-run third inning as Vanderbilt slipped past Lipscomb. Patrick Raby tossed three innings with five strikeouts for the Commodores (24-5). Ben Bowden earned his fifth save by stranding the game-tying run at third base after the Bisons (16-13) plated one earlier in the inning to make it 4-3. Hunter Hanks homered, and Michael Gigliotti scored twice for Lipscomb.
