Hail Caseres! Three-run homer
keeps JMU undefeated

WILMINGTON, N.C. – James Madison’s Steven Caseres
hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning and
the Dukes never looked back, rolling to a 9-4 win over George
Mason (29-24) in Game 6 of the Colonial Athletic Association
Championship.
JMU (36-17) sophomore outfielder Alex Foltz went 4 for 4,
scoring two runs and knocking in another. He was also a force on
the basepath, stealing two bases. Junior southpaw Justin Wood
pitched 7.0 innings for the Dukes, giving up three runs on six
hits while striking out six.
George Mason was led by Scott Krieger who went 3 for 5 with a
double.
Mason returns to action on Friday at Noon in an elimination game
against UNC Wilmington. JMU will play the winner of that game at
7:00 p.m. on Friday.
