Each of the top six teams held their positions in this week’s CBI Composite Poll.
Oregon State stayed in first after going 4-0, including a three-game Pac-12 sweep of Utah, to extend its win streak to a program-record 23 games. The Beavers are first in all five national polls.
Louisville went 3-1, including taking two of three from No. 19 Wake Forest, to remain in second. The Cardinals were second in four polls and third in the other.
TCU had a 4-0 week, including a three-game sweep of Murray State, to stay in third. The Horned Frogs were second in one poll and third in the other four.
Clemson also went 4-0, with a three-game sweep of Virginia Tech, to hold onto fourth. The Tigers were fourth in four polls ad fifth in the other.
North Carolina had a 4-0 week, including a three-game sweep at Boston College, to stay in fifth. The Tar Heels were fourth in one poll and fifth in the other four.
Texas Tech was unanimous No. 6 and Arizona was unanimous No. 7.
There were four new teams in this week’s poll: Virginia, Mississippi State, Long Beach State and Stanford. The four schools that dropped out were St. John’s, Wake Forest, Florida Gulf Coast and Florida State.
There were seven teams in this week’s poll from the SEC, four from the ACC, three from the Big 12 and Pac-12, two from the Big West and one from Conference USA.
