After a 4-0 week, Oregon State remained on top of the CBI Composite Poll.

The Beavers beat Oregon before sweeping a three-game Pac-12 from Cal. OSU was first in all five national polls.

Louisville also went 4-0 to hold onto second. The Cardinals topped Miami (Ohio) before a three-game ACC sweep at Notre Dame. UL was second in all five polls.

UNC won its only game of the week to stay in third. The Tar Heels rallied to edge Richmond. UNC was third in all five polls.

Texas Tech went 3-1 to hang onto fourth. The Red Raiders won at Ohio State before taking two of three at West Virginia in Big 12 play. TTU was fourth in four polls and fifth in the other.

TCU went 4-0 and rose two spots to fifth. The Horned Frogs defeated Abilene Christian before sweeping a Big 12 series from Texas. TCU was fourth in one poll, fifth in two polls and sixth in the other two polls.

Southern Miss returned to the poll at No. 20, while Michigan dropped out.

There were six teams in the poll from the SEC, five from the ACC, three from the Pac-12, two from the Big 12 and Big West, and one from the Big East and Conference USA.
