Mississippi State moves to No. 1 in CBI Composite Poll (5/23)

After sweeping a three-game SEC set from Arkansas, Mississippi State climbed to No. 1 in the CBI Composite Poll.

With the sweep, the Bulldogs claimed the SEC regular-season crown. MSU is first in two polls, second in one poll and third in the other two.

Texas A&M went 2-2, including an SEC series win over Ole Miss, to remain in second. The Aggies are first in two polls, second in two polls and fifth in the other.

Miami had a 3-1 week, including an ACC series victory at Florida State, and stayed in third. The Hurricanes are second in two polls, third in two polls and fourth in the other.

Florida lost two of three at LSU and fell to fourth. The Gators are first in one poll, fourth in two polls, fifth in one poll and sixth in the other.

Louisville went 4-0, including a three-game ACC sweep at Wake Forest, to hold onto fifth. The Cardinals are third in one poll, fourth in one poll, fifth in two polls and sixth in the other poll.

Florida Atlantic and UL Lafayette returned to the poll, while Rice and Southern Miss dropped out.

There are seven teams from the SEC in this week’s poll, six from the ACC, three from the Big 12, and single entries from the American, Big South, Conference USA and Sun Belt.
