In Omaha, Neb., Brian Howard and Ryan Burnett combined to hold Coastal Carolina to one run as TCU posted a 6-1 victory to remain unbeaten in the 2016 College World Series.

The Horned Frogs (49-16) advance to the bracket finals on Friday evening and need one more win to play in the championship series. The Chanticleers (50-17) face Texas Tech in an elimination game on Thursday evening.

Howard (10-2) allowed six hits and one run in 5.2 innings with three walks and seven strikeouts. Burnett retired the final 10 batters, including two by strikeout, to record his first save for TCU.

Luken Baker paced the offense for the Horned Frogs, going 3 for 3 with a homer and two runs. His dinger came in the second to spark the TCU attack. The Frogs added two in the fifth, one in the sixth and two insurance runs in the ninth.

G.K. Young went 2 for 4 with a double and one RBI, while Michael Paez added two hits, including a double, and a run for Coastal Carolina.
