In Omaha, Neb., JC Cloney tossed seven scoreless innings as Arizona eliminated UC Santa Barbara 3-0 Wednesday evening in the 2016 College World Series.

Cloney (7-4) allowed five hits with two walks and two strikeouts to record the victory. Cameron Ming allowed one hit over the final two frames with one walk and three punchouts to register his third save.

The Wildcats (46-22) woke up the offense in the third. Cody Ramer led off with a single, moved to second when Zach Gibbons walked and advanced to third when Bobby Dalbec flew out to center. Ryan Aguilar hit a sacrifice fly to plate Ramer with the first run and Jared Oliva belted a two-run homer to make it a 3-0 game. It was the fourth long ball of the season for Oliva.

Kyle Lewis went 2 for 3 for UA.

Clay Fisher went 1 for 4 with a double for the Gauchos (43-20-1).
