Jayson Gonzalez had a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 12th as Vandy outlasted Arizona in front of 23,870 fans. The Commodores (46-15) left the bases loaded in the 11th. The Wildcats (45-17) had a leadoff double by Donta Williams (1 for 5, R, RBI) in the top of the 12th but could not plate him. Isaiah Thomas had a leadoff single in the bottom of the 12th and moved to second on a bunt hit by Parker Noland. With one away, Javier Vaz walked to load the bases, setting the stage for the game-winner by Gonzalez (3 for 5, 2 R, 3 RBI). In the fourth, Gonzalez had a two-run dinger that tied the game at 3-3. Ryan Holgate had a two-run homer in the sixth for UA.
