Doug Nikhazy struck out 16 in seven innings as Ole Miss nipped FSU. Nikhazy (10-2) allowed four hits, one walk and two earned runs. Taylor Broadway retired the final six batters with three punchouts to register his 15th save. The Rebels (43-19) plated a pair of unearned runs in the seventh to erase a 3-2 deficit. Kevin Graham had two hits and one RBI, while Jacob Gonzalez went 1 for 2 with a walk and two runs for Ole Miss. Isaiah Perry had a solo homer and Logan Lacey added a two-run shot in the fifth for the Seminoles (31-23).

Christopher Sargent had three homers and five RBI as Southern Miss eliminated SEMO. After knocking in a run on a fielder’s choice in the third, Sargent had a two-run shot in the fourth followed by solo dingers in the fifth and seventh. Reed Trimble had five hits and five RBI for the Golden Eagles (38-20). Connor Basler went 1 for 3 with a stolen base for the Redhawks (30-22).

Columbia Regional

Ryne Moore and Aaron Holiday combined on a three-hitter as ODU edged USC to reach the regional finals. Moore (9-1) gave up three hits in seven innings with one run, one walk and eight strikeouts. Holiday hurled two hitless innings with four punchouts for his first save. He struck out the side in the eighth and ended the game with a strikeout with the tying run on second. Matt Coutney homered in the second for the Monarchs (44-14). Braylen Wimmer doubled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Joe Satterfield in the fourth for the Gamecocks (34-22), who stranded 10. Tommy Bell walked with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth for ODU to provide the game-winning run.

Jake Gelof went 3 for 4 with two doubles, a homer, four runs and two RBI as UVA outscored JU. The Cavaliers (30-24) scored in seven of their eight at-bats. Kyle Teel went 4 for 6 with one run and two RBI, while Max Cotier had three hits and three RBI for the victors. Nate Savino (3-3, 4.2 IP, 2 H, R, BB) earned the win in relief. Jacob Grabsky went 3 for 3 with one run and two RBI for the Dolphins (16-34).

Greenville Regional

Lane Hoover delivered a two-run single to break a 5-5 deadlock in the bottom of the eighth as ECU rallied past Charlotte. Bryson Worrell had an RBI double earlier in the eighth that tied the game for the Pirates (43-15). Connor Norby had two hits and two runs for ECU. Matt Bridges (5-0) worked the final 2.1 innings with one hit and three strikeouts to record the win. Aaron McKeithan had a double, a homer and scored twice, while LuJames Groover III had two hits and two RBI for the 49ers (40-20).

Bobby Zmarzlak had four hits, two homers, four runs and four RBI as Maryland downed NSU. The Terps (29-17) belted seven home runs and 13 of their runs came off long balls. Maryland put up crooked numbers in three of the first four frames in building a 14-0 lead. Alsander Womack had two hits for the Spartans (25-28).

Fort Worth Regional

Christian Boulware had a bases-clearing double to cap a five-run seventh and erase a 6-4 deficit as DBU rallied to win at TCU and move to the regional finals. Blayne Jones went 3 for 4 with one run for the Patriots (39-15). Peyton Sherlin pitched two perfect innings with four strikeouts and two groundouts to earn his fourth save. Hunter Wolfe had a three-run homer in the fourth for the Horned Frogs (41-18).

Kyle Demedde drove in six as OSU doubled up MSU. Demedde had a bases-clearing double in the fourth to snap a 2-2 tie and added a three-run double in the eighth to conclude the scoring. Ryan Ober had two hits, two runs and two RBI for the Beavers (35-23).  Jake Dickerson had two hits and three RBI for the Cowboys (32-30).

Nashville Regional

Jack Leiter worked six innings with three hits, one earned run and 11 strikeouts, and Vanderbilt scored four unearned runs off Marquis Grissom Jr. in a tight win over Georgia Tech in the winners’ bracket. The teams combined for seven hits, with Tech totaling four to Vandy’s three. Grissom allowed two hits over 4.1 innings, but the Yellow Jackets’ defense faltered as the Commodores (42-15) scored two unearned runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings. Nick Maldonado closed with three innings and two earned runs, a two-run homer by Tech’s Drew Compton in the ninth, for Vandy. Dalton Smith tossed 3.1 innings of relief with one hit and four strikeouts for the Yellow Jackets (30-24).

Miguel Rivera had a two-run double to spark a four-run first as ISU beat PC. Rivera finished with two hits and five RBI. Jordan Schaffer and Hanna Ellison III both had three hits and three runs for the Sycamores (31-20). Zach Frey (1-1, 5 H, 2 R, BB) went the distance and fanned 10. Eric Toth (2 for 4) had a two-run dinger in the fourth for the Blue Hose (22-23).

Gainesville Regional

Riley Hogan had a two-run double to highlight a five-run fourth as USF beat Miami to advance to the regional finals. Hogan finished with three hits, while Nelson Rivera had three hits and three RBI for the Bulls (30-27). Christian Del Castillo went 2 for 4 with a double and a run for the Hurricanes (33-20).

Santi Montiel went 2 for 4 with a homer, three runs and five RBI as USA thumped UF. Kaleb DeLaTorre (4 for 5, 3 R, 3 RBI) and Andrew Bates (3 for 6, 2 R, 2 RBI) also went deep for the Jaguars (34-21). Miles Smith (7-1, 6 IP, 5 H, R, 5 K) earned the win. Josh Rivera went 2 for 3 with one RBI for the Gators (38-22).

Knoxville Regional

Liam Spence went 3 for 5 with two homers and four RBI, and Luc Lipcius added two solo homers and three RBI as Tennessee hit five homers in beating Liberty in the winners’ bracket. Drew Gilbert, Friday’s hero who hit a grand slam to beat Wright State in the ninth inning, also homered for the Volunteers (47-16). Blade Tidwell worked into the sixth inning, allowing three unearned runs, and Camden Sewell closed with three scoreless innings and four strikeouts for Tennessee. Logan Mathieu had two hits and an RBI for the Flames (40-15).

RJ Schreck smacked three home runs with five RBI as Duke downed WSU. Schreck had two-run homers in the first and third innings while adding a solo shot in the fifth. Chris Crabtree (2 for 5) added a two-run dinger in the third, while Erikson Nichols (2 for 5) and Ethan Murray (2 for 4, 2 BB, 3 RBI) both had two-run homers in the fifth for the Blue Devils (33-21). Tyler Black had a two-run dinger in the third for the Raiders (35-13).

South Bend Regional

Niko Kavadas went 3 for 4 with two homers, five runs and eight RBI, and Ryan Cole went 3 for 6 with a homer, three runs and six RBI as Notre Dame hammered Connecticut in the winners’ bracket. The Fighting Irish (32-11) scored five times in the first and added three in the third and four in the fourth to start the rout. Erick Stock had his second big game of the Regional, going 2 for 4 with a solo homer and two runs for the Huskies (34-18).

Garrett Navarra had a two-run homer in the fourth to break a 1-1 deadlock and Griffin Lockwood-Powell (3 for 5, 2 R) added a two-run dinger in the sixth as CMU eliminated UM. The Wolverines (27-19) were the first team eliminated in 2021 after being the final team eliminated in 2019 as the national runner-up. Jordan Patty (9-2, 7.2 IP, 8 H, R, 6 K) earned the win for the Chippewas (41-17). Tito Flores and Jimmy Obertop both had two hits, including a homer, for UM.

Lubbock Regional

Patrick Monteverde and Ryan Sublette combined to fan 15 as TTU topped UNC to reach the regional finals. Monteverde (7-3) went 5.1 innings with six hits, two runs, one walk and seven strikeouts. Sublette worked the final 3.2 innings with two walks and eight punchouts for his third save. Jace Jung had a two-run homer in the first, while Kurt Wilson homered in the seventh and added a two-run single in the eighth for the Red Raiders (38-15). Angel Zarate had two hits and two runs for the Tar Heels (28-26).

Noah Cardenas went 3 for 3 with two runs and two RBI as UCLA defeated Army. Matt McLain had two hits and three RBI, while Kyle Cuellar had three hits and two RBI for the Bruins (36-19). Sam Ruta went 3 for 3 with a homer and four RBI for the Black Knights (28-25).

Stanford Regional

Kody Huff belted grand slams in the second and eighth innings as Stanford stymied UCI to move to the regional finals. Christian Robinson was a triple short of the cycle for the Cardinal (35-14). Brendan Beck (8-1, 7 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 BB) struck out nine in earning the victory. Nathan Church had two hits and three RBI, while Mike Peabody had two hits, including a homer, for the Anteaters (41-17).

Bennett Hostetler hit a two-run homer as part of a four-run first inning, and Zach Solano went 2 for 4 with a solo homer and two RBI as North Dakota State eliminated Nevada for its first NCAA Regional win in school history. Cade Feeney turned in six strong innings with four hits and one earned run to improve to 8-1, and Parker Ham earned his 12th save with three scoreless innings with one hit and three strikeouts for the Bison (42-18). Matt Clayton went 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Wolf Pack (25-20).

Fayetteville Regional

Patrick Wicklander and Kevin Kopps held Nebraska to one run as Arkansas advanced to the regional finals. Wicklander (6-1) worked five innings with two hits, one run, two walks and seven strikeouts. Kopps tossed four scoreless innings with three hits and six punchouts for his 11th save. Matt Goodheart had two hits, including a home run, while Jalen Battles walked twice and scored two times for the Razorbacks (48-10). Cam Chick went 2 for 4 with a double for the Huskers (32-13).

Ryan Fischer allowed one run over seven innings as NJIT edged NU. Fisher (5-3) gave up four hits and one walk while striking out four. Jake Rappaport (2 IP, H, R, K) earned his 10th save. Nick Hussey went 2 for 3 with one run and one RBI for the Highlanders (27-23). Max Viera homered in the eighth for the Huskies (36-12).

Ruston Regional

Sam Highfill worked 5.1 scoreless innings as NCSU downed LT to move to the regional finals. Highfill (7-2) allowed five hits with one walk and four strikeouts. Evan Justice (3 H, 3 R, 8 K) hurled the final 3.2 frames for his 10th save. Austin Murr (4 for 5) had two doubles, two runs and one RBI, while Jonny Butler added two hits and three RBI for the Wolfpack (32-17). Steele Netterville (2 for 4, 2 RBI) and Cole McConnell went deep for the Bulldogs (41-19).

William Hamiter had a two-run homer in the seventh to break a 1-1 deadlock as UA nipped Rider. Dylan Smith (2-8, 7 H, R) went the distance with seven strikeouts for the Crimson Tide (32-25). Kyle Johnson doubled twice and scored once, while Sean McGeehan was 2 for 4 with a double and one RBI for the Broncs (23-18).

Tucson Regional

Garrett Irvin (6-2) tossed a three-hit shutout with a career-high 10 strikeouts as UA blanked UCSB to reach the regional finals. Tony Bullard (3 for 4) had a two-run homer in the eighth to complete the scoring for the Wildcats (42-15). Marcos Castanon, Christian Kirtley and Jason Willow had hits for the Gauchos (40-18).

Cade Cabbiness had a double and a homer as OSU edged GCU. Nolan McLean also went deep in the eighth for the Cowboys (36-18-1). Parker Scott (8-1, 6.1 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 K) picked up the win, while Brett Standlee pitched a perfect ninth for his fifth save. Elijah Buries had three hits and a run, while Jacob Wilson (2 for 4) went deep for the Lopes (39-21-2).

Eugene Regional

Gabe Matthews went 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs and three RBI as Oregon held off Gonzaga to advance to the regional finals. Robert Ahlstrom (9-3, 8.0 IP, 7 H, 3 R, BB, 6 K) earned the victory for the Ducks (39-14). Andrew Orzel drove in two for the Bulldogs (34-18).

Giovanni DiGiacomo delivered a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 10th as LSU survived against CCSU. Dylan Crews (3 for 4) has solo homers in the first and third, while Drew Bianco had a two-run double in the third that tied the game at 5-5 for the Tigers (34-24). Garrett Edwards (2 H, 4 K) pitched five shutout innings, while Devin Fontenot (4-2) fanned two in a 1-2-3 ninth for the win. Dan Covino had a two-run double and Noah Martinez smacked a two-run homer in a five-run second for the Blue Devils (28-15).

Starkville Regional

Rowdey Jordan (3 for 5, 3 R) and Tanner Allen (3 for 5, 2 R, 3 RBI) had consecutive two-run singles before Kamren James (3 for 6, 3 R) capped the nine-run sixth with a two-run homer as MSU ended VCU’s 22-game win streak and moved to the regional finals. A two-run homer by Michael Haydak in the top of the sixth pulled the Rams (38-15) within two at 6-4 before the offensive explosion by the Bulldogs (42-15) in the bottom of the frame. Christian MacLeod (6-4, 5 H, 4 R, 3 BB) fanned 12 in 5.2 innings for MSU.

Grant Harris went 3 for 3 with a homer, three runs and three RBI, and Bryce Arnold added two hits, including a homer, two runs and three RBI as Campbell built a 12-3 lead and eliminated Samford. Matthew Christian had two hits, four runs and two RBI, and Spencer Packard contributed a solo homer and three runs for the Camels (36-17). Sonny DiChiara homered twice and drove in three, and Taylor Garris went 2 for 3 with a homer, three runs and four RBI for the Bulldogs, who end their season at 35-24.

Austin Regional

Ty Madden and Tanner Witt pitched UT past ASU and into the regional finals. Madden (7-4) gave up three hits and four walks, but only one run, with seven strikeouts. Witt (2 H, 2 R, 3 K) worked the final three frames for his fifth save. Cam Williams had two doubles among his three hits with two runs and one RBI, while Zach Zubia belted a two-run homer and scored twice for the Longhorns (44-15). Nate Baez (2 for 4) had a two-run homer in the seventh for the Sun Devils (33-21).

Sean Cullen and Matt Venuto each had two hits and two RBI as Fairfield picked up its first NCAA tourney win in school history by eliminating Southern. Jake Noviello allowed one earned run and struck out three in five strong innings for the Stags (38-4), who scored twice in the second and three times in the fourth for an early 5-0 lead. Tremaine Spears went 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Jaguars (20-30).
