Weston Eberly went 3 for 5 with a homer, two runs and three RBI, and Hayden Schott homered and drove in three as Columbia surprised Gonzaga. Sean Higgins was terrific, tossing six innings with six hits, two runs (one earned) and six strikeouts, and Saajan Way closed with three scoreless innings for the Lions (31-16). Connor Coballes went 3 for 3 with an RBI for the Bulldogs (36-18).

Nick Biddison and Gavin Cross combined for 10 hits, five runs and six RBI from the top two spots in the lineup as VT outscored WSU. Biddison went 5 for 5 with four runs and one RBI, while Cross was 5 for 6 with a double, a homer and five RBI for the Hokies (42-12), who snapped a 5-5 tie with five in the fifth. Julian Greenwell had two doubles, two runs and two RBI for the Raiders (30-26).

Corvallis Regional
No. 3 San Diego 3, No. 2 Vanderbilt 2
No. 1 Oregon State 5, No. 4 New Mexico State 4 (10)

Brycen Mautz mixed and matched all day, keeping Vanderbilt off balance with seven innings, four hits, one earned run and five strikeouts as San Diego held off the Commodores. Caleb Ricketts drove in a pair of runs, and Dustin Allen went 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Toreros (37-18). Dominic Keegan and Calvin Hewett each hit solo homers for Vandy (36-22).

Justin Boyd drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the 10th as OSU nipped NMSU to keep top seeds undefeated on Day 1 of regional play. The Beavers (45-15) erased a 3-2 deficit with two in the bottom of the seventh before the Aggies (24-33) tied it with a run in the ninth. Garret Forrester had three hits and two RBI for OSU. Tommy Tabak went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBI for NMSU.

Hattiesburg Regional
No. 1 Southern Miss 2, No. 4 Army 0

Tanner Hall was brilliant with eight scoreless innings, four hits and nine strikeouts, and Gabe Montenegro went 2 for 3 with a run as Southern Miss slipped past Army. Christopher Sargent added two hits and an RBI as the Golden Eagles (44-16) scored single runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Connelly Early was strong for Army (31-24) with six innings, two runs (one earned) and eight strikeouts.

Josh Pearson had two singles and three RBI in a 10-run eighth as LSU rallied past KSU. Pearson (3 for 4, 2B, BB, 2 R) had an RBI base hit with none away in the eighth to pull the Tigers (39-20) within five at 11-6. Tre’ Morgan added a two-run single to make it 11-10. Dylan Crews knocked in two with a double to put LSU up one before Pearson’s two-run single gave the Tigers a 14-11 edge. Devin Fontenot (3-2, 3.1 IP, 2 H, BB, 6 K) earned the win in relief, while Paul Gervase worked a scoreless ninth with one strikeout for his sixth save. Tyler Simon had a double, a homer and four RBI, while Josh Hatcher went 3 for 4 with a double, four runs and one RBI for the Owls (35-27).

Statesboro Regional

Pinch-runner Jared Miller scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the eighth as ND endured a six-hour rain delay to edge TTU. The game began at 2 p.m. ET and ended after 11:30 p.m. The Red Raiders (37-21) loaded the bases with one out in the first but failed to score. David LaManna had a two-run double in the bottom of the frame that preceded the weather delay. Easton Murrell had a two-run single in the top of the eighth for TTU to level the score before the Irish (36-14) reclaimed the lead in the bottom of the eighth. Liam Simon (3 IP, 2 H, 2 BB) fanned eight, while Alex Rao (3 IP, H, R, BB) struck out seven for ND. Chase Hampton (6 IP, 3 H, UE, 2 BB) struck out 12 in relief for the Red Raiders.

Auburn Regional

Parker Messick and three relievers combined to allow five hits, and Jordan Carrion drove in two runs as Florida State edged UCLA. Messick allowed two earned runs over five innings, and Wyatt Crowell and Davis Hare combined for 3.2 hitless innings for the Seminoles (34-23). Carson Yates homered for the Bruins (38-23).

Cole Foster homered three times and knocked in nine as Auburn battered SLU. Foster smacked a two-run homer right-handed in the first and belted a grand slam left-handed later in the 11-run first for the Tigers. Foster became the first player in program history to homer from both sides of the plate in the same inning. It was the second time it was accomplished on Day 1 of the NCAA Regionals, as Bryson Worrell did it for East Carolina. It has only been accomplished three times in MLB history. Evan Keller went 2 for 4 with a double, one run and two RBI for the Lions (30-30).

Austin Regional

Skyler Messinger went 4 for 5 with two runs and three RBI as UT topped AF. Messinger had an RBI single in the third to snap a 2-2 tie. He had a two-run base hit to spark a five-run fifth as the Longhorns (43-19) went up 8-2. Austin Todd knocked in three, while Murphy Stehly had three hits and three runs for UT. Pete Hansen (11-1, 6.2 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 5 K) earned the victory. Blake Covin went 2 for 4 with a double and scored twice for the Falcons (30-28).

Jorge Corona had two dingers and six RBI as LT took care of DBU. His two-run homer capped a five run fifth as the Bulldogs (43-19) went up 7-1. After a three-run homer by Moore in the top of the sixth cut the deficit to three, Corona had an inside-the-park grand slam in the bottom of the sixth to make it 11-4. Philip Matulia went 3 for 5 with a double, a homer, three runs and four RBI for LT. Jace Grady was 3 for 4 with two runs for the Patriots (30-28).

Chapel Hill Regional

Mac Horvath had three hits, including two homers, with three runs and four RBI as UNC scored in seven of its eight at-bats in beating Hofstra. Horvath had a solo shot in the first to level the score at 1-1. His two-run dinger in the third broke a 2-2 deadlock and gave the Tar Heels (39-19) the lead for good. Vance Honeycutt had two hits, including a home run, and three RBI, while Angel Zarate went 3 for 6 with two runs and two RBI for the victors. Max Carlson (4-2, 5.2 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 6 K) picked up the win. Santino Rosso had a double and two homers for the Pride (30-22).

Connor Hujsak went 3 for 5 with two homers and four RBI, and three VCU pitchers limited Georgia to one run as the Rams won their Regional opener for the second year in a row. VCU (41-18) extended its winning streak to 16 games – last year, its opening Regional win gave them a 22-game winning streak. Tyler Davis tossed 3.2 innings with two hits before Chase Hungate and Jack Masloff closed the final 5.1 innings. Cole Tate had a solo homer for the Bulldogs (35-22).

College Park Regional

No. 1 Maryland 23, No. 4 LIU 2

Ben Huber delivered an RBI double in the top of the ninth after Wake Forest had erased a big deficit to lift Connecticut past the Demon Deacons. Huber finished with two RBI, and his double scored David Smith, who reached on an error to open the inning. Casey Dana went 3 for 5 with a homer, two runs and two RBI, and Bryan Padilla homered and drove in two for the Huskies (47-13), who led 7-2 in the top of the seventh. Adam Cecere homered and drove in two, and Lucas Costello hit a solo homer for Wake Forest (40-18).

Ian Petrutz was a triple short of the cycle with two runs and five RBI as Maryland thumped LIU in its first-ever home NCAA Tournament contest. Troy Schreffler (3 for 5, 2 2B, 2 R) and Nick Lorusso (2 for 3, 3 BB, 2 2B, 3 R) both knocked in four for the Terrapins (46-12). Ryan Ramsey tossed five scoreless frames with four hits, two walks and 11 strikeouts to record the victory. Logan Ott (4.0 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 4 K) earned the save.  Christopher Wasson had two hits, while Connor Price went deep for the Sharks (37-20).

College Station Regional

Austin Bost homered and drove in four as Texas A&M topped ORU. Jack Moss went 3 for 5 with a double, two runs and two RBI for the Aggies (38-18). Jordan Thompson (2 for 4, 2 R, 2 RBI) also went deep for TAMU. Holden Breeze had two doubles, one run and one RBI for the Golden Eagles (38-19).

Will Veiillon had a two-run homer in the second to start the scoring as Louisiana edged TCU. Julian Brock scored twice and drove in one on his 21st birthday for the Ragin’ Cajuns (37-21). Bo Bonds (5-3, 4.2 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 BB) struck out seven in registering the win, while Dylan Theut recorded the final out for his third save. Tommy Sacco had a double, a homer and two RBI for the Horned Frogs (36-21).

John Spikerman (4 for 5, 2 R) and Peyton Graham (2 for 6, 2 R) each homered and drove in four as Oklahoma coasted past Liberty. The Sooners (38-20) rattled out 17 hits and broke open a 6-3 game with eight runs in the fifth inning. Kendall Pettis went 2 for 3 with a homer, four runs and two RBI, and Jimmy Crooks added two hits, two runs and two RBI for Oklahoma. Stephen Hill hit a two-run homer for the Flames (37-22).

Brandon Sproat surrendered one earned run and struck out six, and Colby Halter went 2 for 4 with a homer and three RBI as Florida scored four late runs to pull away from Central Michigan. Jac Caglianone had two hits and three RBI, and Sterlin Thompson had two hits, including a solo homer for the Gators (40-22). Andrew Taylor struck out nine and allowed two earned runs over five innings for the Chippewas (42-18), who got three hits and two runs from Justin Simpson and three hits and two RBI from Danny Wuestenfeld.

Greenville Regional

Bryson Worrell went 2 for 4 with two homers – one from each side of the plate in the same inning – three runs and four RBI, and Joey Rezek contributed two hits and three RBI as East Carolina had an easy time with Coppin State. Danny Beal tossed four scoreless innings of relief with six strikeouts to pick up the win for the Pirates (43-18). Corey Miley drove in the lone run for the Eagles (24-29).

Jake Gelof went 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBI, and Kyle Teel and Casey Saucke each added two RBI as Virginia (39-17) beat Coastal Carolina. Nate Savino allowed two unearned runs in 6.1 innings as he and relievers Jay Woolfolk and Matt Wyatt combined to shut the Chanticleers out over the final seven innings. Tyler Johnson and Graham Brown each had two hits for Coastal (36-19).

Knoxville Regional

Ty Babin went 2 for 5 with a three-run homer and five RBI, and Logan Jordan went 3 for 5 with a homer and three RBI as Campbell pounded out 18 hits in beating Georgia Tech. Zach Neto added three hits and four runs, and Tyler Halstead (2 for 4, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI) and Connor Denning (3 for 5, 2 R, 2 RBI) also had big days for the Camels (41-17), who scored five times in the second and five more in the sixth to build an 11-2 lead. Tim Borden II went 3 for 4 with a homer, three runs and four RBI for the Yellow Jackets (34-23).

Jordan Beck blasted two homers and drove in four, and Jorel Ortega added two hits, a homer and two RBI as Tennessee scored five times in the sixth to pull away from Alabama State. Blade Tidwell tossed 7.2 scoreless innings with three hits and seven strikeouts for the Volunteers (54-7). The Hornets (34-24) totaled four hits, with no player having more than one.

Louisville Regional

Jack Payton had four hits and four RBI as UL defeated SEMO. Payton had an RBI double in the fifth to make it 4-2, another RBI double in the seventh, and a two-run single in the eighth to finish the scoring for the Cardinals (39-18-1). Garrett Schmeltz (2-0, 6.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 K) picked up the win, while Tate Kuehner (3.0 IP, 1 H, 4 K) earned his third save. Jevon Mason went 1 for 3 with a double, a walk, one run and one RBI for the Redhawks (37-21).

Matt Frey smacked a two-run homer in the top of the eighth to break a 6-6 deadlock and propel UM past Oregon. Jimmy Obertop went deep twice and knocked in four for the Wolverines (33-26). Cameron Weston (5-3, 2.1 IP, H, K) earned the win in relief. Brennan Milone went 3 for 5 with two doubles, a homer and two RBI for the Ducks (35-24).

Stanford Regional

Tommy Troy and Drew Bowser both knocked in five as Stanford outscored BU. Troy had four hits, including a double and two dingers, with four runs. Bowser had a double and a homer with two runs for the Cardinal (42-14). Bowser had an RBI double to start the scoring in the second and his grand slam capped the 10-run second. Nick Roselli went 4 for 5 with a dinger and two runs for the Bearcats (22-29).

Peyton Lewis homered and drove in four as TSU defeated UCSB. Lewis had a three-run homer in the fourth to put the Bobcats (46-12) ahead for good at 4-2. He walked with the bases loaded in the seventh to conclude the scoring. Austin Smith worked the final 2.2 innings with no hits, no runs, one walk and four strikeouts to register his first save. Nick Vogt had two hits, including a homer, and two RBI for the Gauchos (43-13).

Stillwater Regional

Connor Noland yielded one earned run and six hits over seven splendid innings, and Cayden Wallace homered twice and drove in three as Arkansas topped Grand Canyon. Wallace went 2 for 4 with two runs, and Michael Turner contributed three hits and three RBI for the Razorbacks (39-18), who scored four runs in the second for a 5-0 lead to take control. Tayler Aguilar went 3 for 4 with a solo homer for GCU (41-20).

Nolan McLean homered twice to lead OSU past MSU. Griffin Doersching doubled twice and drove in a pair for the Cowboys (40-20). Mason Greer and Dakota Kotowski both went deep with two RBI for the Bears (30-28).
