Kris Bubic tossed eight shutout innings with 11 strikeouts as Stanford blanked SSU. Bubic (7-6) scattered five hits and did not walk a batter. The Cardinal (41-14) scored single runs in five of the first six innings before putting up four in the seventh. Quinn Brodey went 4 for 4 with a double, two homers and four runs, while Matt Winaker and Jack Klein also went deep and knocked in two for the home team. Ricky Martinez went 2 for 3 with a double for the Hornets (32-28).
Dillon Persinger had four of a season-high 22 hits as Fullerton whacked BYU. The Titans (35-21) scored three in the first and third in building an early lead. Persinger scored three and knocked in one, while Hank LoForte (3 for 4, 3B) and Hunter Cullen (3 for 5, HR) both drove in three for the victors. Connor Seabold (11-4, 8 H, 2 R) fanned eight in seven innings in recording the win. Brock Hale had three hits, while Colton Shaver homered for the Cougars (37-20).
