Alex Bettinger (1-4) picked up his first win of the year with a career-best six innings, and Tommy Doyle struck out three over the final 1.1 innings to post his second save of the weekend and season for the Cavaliers (11-10, 26-17). Zack Collins went 3 for 4 with a homer and two RBI for the Hurricanes (14-5, 30-8).

No. 3 Texas A&M 2, Alabama 1

In College Station, Texas, pinch-hitter Jonathan Moroney plated the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth with a single to score Ryne Birk as Texas A&M won the rubber game of its SEC series with Alabama. Kyle Simonds and Andrew Vinson (1-1) combined to allow three hits and strike out 10, with Vinson working the final four innings with one hit, three strikeouts and 32 total pitches for the Aggies (12-6, 32-8). Nick Eicholtz allowed six hits and one earned run with five strikeouts in seven innings for Alabama (9-9, 24-17).

No. 4 Louisville 6, Boston College 2

In Chestnut Hill, Mass., Kyle Funkhouser turned in six strong innings, and Will Smith had two hits, two runs and an RBI as Louisville avoided a sweep to Boston College in the ACC. Funkhouser (4-3) allowed two earned runs and struck out four in six innings, and Shane Hummel posted his first save with 2.1 scoreless innings for the Cardinals (14-7, 31-9). Scott Baren and Johnny Adams drove in runs for the Eagles (7-12, 21-15).

No. 8 LSU 11, No. 7 Mississippi State 8

In Baton Rouge, La., Kramer Robertson had a double, a homer and three RBI as LSU salvaged the SEC series finale against MSU. Trailing 3-0, the Tigers (10-8, 27-13) scored four in the fourth, four in the fifth and three in the sixth. Jake Fraley went 3 for 5 with two runs and one RBI, while Jordan Romero doubled twice and scored a pair for LSU. Jake Mangum went 3 for 6 with two runs and two RBI, while Reid Humphreys knocked in three for the Bulldogs (10-8, 27-13-1).

Cal Poly 4, No. 13 UC Santa Barbara 3

In San Luis Obispo, Calif., Jarred Zill allowed one run over 6.1 innings as Cal Poly completed a Big West sweep of UCSB. Zill (4-1) gave up four hits, walked one and struck out five. Justin Calomeni surrendered one hit in 1.1 innings with two strikeouts to record his sixth save. John Schuknecht and Brett Binning both had two hits and a run for the first-place Mustangs (7-2, 25-13). Andrew Calica went 2 for 4 with a double and two runs for the Gauchos (5-4, 25-10-1).

In Berkeley, Calif., Arizona used a five-run eighth to complete a Pac-12 sweep at Cal. Bobby Dalbec went 3 for 5 with a double and four RBI, while Cody Ramer added two hits and two runs for the Wildcats (10-8, 26-14). Robbie Tenerowicz drove in two, while Brian Celsi doubled twice and scored once for the Golden Bears (9-9, 22-14).
