In Orlando, Tyler Osik went 4 for 5 with two runs and four RBI, and JJ Montgomery pitched into the sixth with eight strikeouts as Central Florida (9-3) knocked off top-ranked Florida (12-2). The Knights took an 8-3 lead on Osik’s second two-run single in the fourth inning and withstood a three-run homer from Keenan Bell and solo shot from Nelson Maldonado (2 for 5, 2 R). The teams play again tonight in Gainesville.

Mississippi State 9, New Mexico State 1

In Starkville, Miss., Cole Marsh (5 IP, 4 H, 1 ER) and Denver McQuary (4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 4 K) combined on a gem, and Jake Mangum went 3 for 3 with two runs and an RBI as Mississippi State coasted past New Mexico State as the Bulldogs unveiled the new Dudy Noble Field. A crowd of 7,179 was on hand to see the first game at the new $55 million stadium, which will be fully completed for the 2019 season. Hunter Stovall (2 for 4) and Luke Alexander contributed two RBI apiece for Mississippi State (7-5), who opened the season with an 11-game road trip.

No. 2 Oregon State 6, Portland 3

In Corvallis, Ore., Trevor Larnach continued his torrid start to the season with a three-run homer, and Adley Rutschman also stayed hot with two hits and two RBI as Oregon State remained perfect at 13-0. Beau Bundage scored and drove in a run for Portland (4-8).

No. 4 Florida State 12, Kansas 7

In Tallahassee, Fla., Cal Raleigh (3 for 4, 2 R) and Jared Herron each homered and drove in three as Florida State improved to 13-0. Jackson Lueck drove in two, and Mike Salvatore had two hits and two runs for the Seminoles, who scored in each of the first six innings. Jaxx Groshans (3 for 5) had a solo homer, and Devin Foyle and Owen Taylor each homered and drove in two for the Jayhawks (8-4).

No. 6 Kentucky 16, Eastern Kentucky 5

In Lexington, Ky., Troy Squires went 4 for 4 with three doubles, two runs and four RBI as UK pounded EKU. Luke Heyer (3 for 4, 2B, 3 R) belted a grand slam, one of three home runs for the Wildcats (12-1). Brenden Overton went 2 for 3 with a double and two runs for the Colonels (5-7).

No. 8 TCU 7, UTRGV 2

In Fort Worth, Texas, Josh Watson went deep twice and knocked in four as TCU topped UTRGV for head coach Jim Schlossnagle’s 700th career victory. Luken Baker also homered and drove in a pair for the Horned Frogs (8-3). Conrad McMahon had two hits and a run for the Vasqueros (7-6).

No. 9 Texas A&M 6, Northwestern State 1

In College Station, Texas, Will Frizzell had a three-run double to highlight a five-run sixth as Texas A&M downed NSU. Nolan Hoffman (3-0, 3 IP, 3 H, 5 K) earned the win in relief of Chandler Jozwiak (5 IP, 5 H, R, 8 K) for the Aggies (12-1). David Fry went 2 for 4 with a double and one RBI for the Demons (7-5).

No 10 Clemson 6, Wofford 3

In Clemson, S.C., Logan Davidson and Justin Hawkins both homered as Clemson doubled up Wofford. Davidson had two hits and his game-tying dinger sparked a four-run seventh for the Tigers (11-1). Andrew Orzell doubled twice and had two RBI for the Terriers (6-6).
