In San Diego, Jake Miller made an emergency start when San Diego’s scheduled starter Kohl Simas couldn’t go because of sickness. Miller made it memorable by tossing the Toreros’ first no-hitter since Josh Romanski (2008) in a 7-0 win over Monmouth Friday night. Miller, who had thrown 7.1 relief innings in three appearances this season, struck out 10 and walked two, losing his perfect game in the eighth inning. Will Worthington and Caleb Ricketts each had two RBI, and Thomas Luevano went 3 for 3 with a run and an RBI for San Diego (7-2). The Hawks fell to 3-5.

No. 1 Florida 3, Troy 2 (box score)

In Gainesville, Fla., Kirby McMullen had a two-run single as Florida scored three times in the seventh inning to overcome Troy. Austin Langworthy, who went 3 for 4, singled in a run to make it 2-1 Trojans before McMullen gave the Gators (9-0) the lead. Tommy Mace (2-0) worked seven innings with two earned runs and six strikeouts, and Nick Pogue and Ben Specht (first save) each struck out the side in their relief innings. Levi Thomas was brilliant for Troy (8-2), with five hits and six strikeouts in six scoreless innings. Drew Frederic had three hits, and Caleb Bartolero added two hits and an RBI for the Trojans.

In Nashville, Mason Hickman struck out 11 and allowed two hits and one run in 6.2 innings as Vanderbilt topped Hawaii. Harrison Ray went 2 for 4 with a double, run and two RBI, and Ty Duvall added two hits and two RBI for the Commodores (9-2). Sam Hliboki earned his second save by striking out five in 2.1 innings. Alex Baeza had one of the two hits and the lone run for the Rainbows (7-4).

In Lubbock, Texas, Cole Stillwell (2 for 4), Cal Conley (2 for 3, 2 R), Brian Klein (2 for 3) and Nate Rombach (HR) each drove in three runs as Texas Tech (7-1) had coasted past Southern (2-4). Zavier Moore ripped a two-run homer in the ninth for the Jaguars.

Reid Detmers allowed two runs and struck out 10 in five innings, with Evan Webster (1-0) earning the win with three scoreless innings for the Cardinals (6-2). Brady Miller (1-2) tossed seven innings with four earned runs and four strikeouts for the Broncos (5-2). Logan Hudson had two of WMU’s six hits and drove in a run, and Justin McIntyre hit a solo homer.

In Long Beach, Calif., Adam Seminaris allowed one hit and fanned 10 in 8.0 innings as LBSU blanked MSU to kick off their weekend series. Seminaris (1-0) walked two. Devereaux Harrison walked one and struck out two in a hitless ninth. Aidan Malm had two hits and two RBI for the Dirtbags (6-3). Rowdey Jordan walked twice for the Bulldogs (7-2).

In Athens, Ga., Tucker Bradley ripped a three-run homer to key a five-run fourth inning as Georgia slipped past Georgia Tech. Emerson Hancock (5.2 IP, 4 ER, 10 K) and Ryan Webb (3.1 IP, 1 ER, 4 K) did just enough for the Bulldogs (9-1) to keep the Yellow Jackets (7-2) at bay. Luke Waddell went 3 for 5 with a run and an RBI, and Michael Guldberg and Drew Compton each added two hits and an RBI as Tech outhit Georgia 13-7.

In Coral Gables, Fla., Brian Van Belle allowed three hits and struck out 14 in seven scoreless innings as Miami edged Towson. Jordan Lala went 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Hurricanes (6-3). Josh Seils (0-3) threw well for the Tigers, allowing five hits and two earned runs in 6.1 innings. Towson made it interesting in the ninth when Burke Camper’s double, which nearly was a homer, plated Brad Powers, but Daniel Federman came on to get the last out for his second save.

In Phoenix, Drew Swift went 4 for 5 with two runs and an RBI, and Gage Workman added three hits and two RBI as Arizona State used an eight-run fourth inning to rout Nebraska. Hunter Jump added two hits, two runs and two RBI for the Sun Devils (7-3). Gunner Hellstrom had two hits and two RBI as the Huskers (1-6) scored four late runs.

In Tallahassee, Fla., CJ Van Eyk and two relievers combined on a one-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts as FSU defeated FAU. Van Eyk (1-0) surrendered one hit, five walks and one run with eight strikeouts. Chase Haney fanned two in a hitless seventh, while Antonio Velez retired the final six batters with two punchouts. Matheu Nelson had two hits and two RBI for the Seminoles (7-2). Wilfredo Alvarez walked twice and knocked in one for the Owls (7-1).

Brady Lindsly homered to tie the game at 3 in the sixth and finished with two RBI, and Oklahoma scored three times thanks in part to a pair of Arkansas errors in the seventh inning. Tanner Treadway went 2 for 4 with a run, and Tyler Hardman added two hits and an RBI for the Sooners (8-2). Cade Cavalli gave the Sooners a solid start with 11 strikeouts and three earned runs in five innings, and Wyatt Olds (3-0) allowed four hits and struck out six in three relief innings for Oklahoma. Jacob Nesbit went 2 for 3 with a solo homer, and Robert Moore drove in a pair for the Razorbacks (7-1).

Bailey’s solo shot in the seventh snapped a 5-5 tie, and his grand slam in the eighth gave the Wolfpack (9-0) insurance runs. Zeb Adreon went 3 for 4 with two doubles and two runs for the Hawkeyes (3-4).

Tyler Keenan and Cael Baker both knocked in two as Ole Miss beat HPU. Keenan had a two-run homer in the first, while Baker added a sac fly in the fifth and an RBI groundout in the ninth. Doug Nikhazy (2-1, 5.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, BB, 5 K) picked up the win for the Rebels (8-1). Adam Stuart had a two-run single in the fifth for the Panthers (5-5).

Grant Richardson had a two-run homer in the third to put IU on top for good at ECU. Drew Ashley (2 for 5, HR, 2B, 2 R) and Jordan Fucci (3 for 5, 2 2B, R) both drove in three for the Hoosiers (5-2). Zach Agnos went 2 for 4 with one RBI for the Pirates (7-2).
