In Fayetteville, Ark., Grant Koch went 2 for 4 with a pair of homers and four RBI, and Jax Biggers added two hits and an RBI as Arkansas opened SEC play with a win over Kentucky. Jake Reindl tossed 1.2 innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win for the Razorbacks (1-0, 14-4), who scored in five of eight innings. Troy Squires went 3 for 5 with a run and an RBI for the Wildcats (0-1, 14-4).

No. 12 Auburn 4, No. 8 Texas A&M 1

In Auburn, Ala., Casey Mize fanned 13 in 7.1 innings as Auburn topped TAMU in the SEC series opener. Mize (5-0) allowed five hits and a run with no walks. Calvin Coker (1.2 IP, H, K) notched his third save. Steven Williams drove in a pair for the Tigers (1-0, 18-1). Chris Andritsos went 2 for 4 with a double and one RBI for the Aggies (0-1, 16-3).

In Clemson, S.C., Michael Bienlien tossed five scoreless innings as NC State blanked Clemson to begin their ACC series. Bienlien (2-0) scattered five hits with one walk and three strikeouts. Kent Klyman (2.1 IP, B, 3 K) recorded his third save. Brett Kinneman (2 for 5) homered for the Wolfpack (3-1, 16-3). Grayson Byrd had two hits for the Tigers (3-1, 16-2).

Baylor 2, No. 5 Texas Tech 0

In Waco, Texas, Cody Bradford tossed a gem, limiting Texas Tech to six hits and striking out seven in 8.2 shutout innings, as Baylor blanked Texas Tech. Troy Montemayor came on with two runners on and two out in the ninth and got Michael Davis to line out for his fifth save for the Bears (1-0, 9-6). Davis Wendzel went 2 for 3 with an RBI in the first inning, and Nick Loftin added a RBI on a fielder’s choice to score Wendzel, who had doubled, for the only other run off Davis Martin, who struck out 10 and allowed four hits in seven strong innings for the Red Raiders (0-1, 16-4).

Notre Dame 8, No. 6 Florida State 7

In Tallahassee, Fla., Matt Vierling launched a grand slam in the third inning, and Jake Johnson added a three-run homer in the seventh as Notre Dame upended Florida State in ACC play. Scott Tully (2-1) allowed three runs over 6.1 innings, and Cole Kmet earned his second save after the Seminoles (1-3, 14-4) scored five times in the seventh and eighth innings to close within one, thanks in part to a three-run homer from Steven Wells. The Fighting Irish improved to 2-2, 8-8.

No. 1 Oregon State 4, California 3

In Berkeley, Calif., Luke Heimlich allowed two runs over seven innings as OSU edged Cal to kick off their Pac-12 series. Heimlich (4-0) allowed eight hits with one walk and four strikeouts. Jake Mulholland worked a scoreless ninth for his seventh save. Steven Kwan went 1 for 4 with two RBI for the Beavers (1-0, 16-1). Andrew Vaughn went 3 for 3 with two runs for the Golden Bears (0-1, 12-5).

No. 2 Florida 7, South Carolina 3

In Columbia, S.C., Brady Singer allowed two hits and one earned run and struck out seven in six strong innings as Florida topped South Carolina. Jonathan India went 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI, and Nelson Maldonado and Blake Reese each contributed two hits and two RBI for the Gators (1-0, 17-3). Chris Cullen went 2 for 3 with a solo homer for the Gamecocks (0-1, 12-6).

Tennessee 8, No. 9 Ole Miss 6

In Oxford, Miss., Brodie Leftridge had a three-run triple to highlight a six-run seventh as UT outscored Ole Miss to begin their SEC set. Leftridge had two hits and scored twice for the Volunteers (1-0, 13-6). Ryan Olenek had a three-run homer in the seventh for the Rebels (0-1, 17-2).

Wake Forest 2, No. 11 Louisville 1

In Winston-Salem, N.C., DJ Poteet homered in the bottom of the ninth to lift WFU over UL in the ACC series lid-lifter. Griffin Roberts (8.1 IP, 5 H, R, 3 BB) struck out 13, while Rayne Supple (2-0) recorded the final two outs to pick up the win for the Demon Deacons (3-1, 8-10). Drew Campbell (2 for 3) went deep for the Cardinals (2-2, 15-3).
