In Fayetteville, Ark., Blaine Knight and Matt Cronin combined to hold Auburn to one run as Arkansas won the SEC series opener. Knight (6-0) allowed six hits and one run in 6.1 innings with one walk and six strikeouts to earn the victory. Cronin tossed 2.2 hitless innings with one punchout for his sixth save. Luke Bonfield homered in a two-run fourth for the Razorbacks (6-4, 22-9). Edouard Julien went deep for the Tigers (4-6, 23-8).

No. 17 UCLA 8, No. 2 Stanford 4

In Los Angeles, Ryan Kreidler belted a grand slam in the eighth as UCLA downed Stanford in the Pac-12 series opener. Kreidler had two hits and two runs, while Chase Strumpf went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI for the Bruins (7-3, 18-7). Beau Branton went 4 for 4 with a double and a run for the Cardinal (5-2, 22-4).

No. 20 Louisville 8, No. 6 NC State 2

In Louisville, Ky., Logan Wyatt went 3 for 4 with a grand slam, and Adam Wolf allowed two hits and struck out six in seven scoreless innings as Louisville knocked off NC State in the ACC. Danny Oriente added two hits and three RBI for the Cardinals (6-7, 20-9). Josh McLain hit a two run homer for the Wolfpack (9-4, 23-6).

In Nashville, Tenn., Chandler Day fanned 10 in five innings of relief as VU evened its SEC series with UGA. Day (1-0) allowed four hits, one walk and one run. Pat DeMarco homered for the Commodores (6-5, 18-13). Mason Meadows went 3 for 4 with one run and one RBI for the Bulldogs (8-3, 23-8).

In Tucson, Ariz., Cadyn Grenier had two hits and two RBI as OSU took the Pac-12 series opener at UA. Bryce Fehmel (4-1, 6.2 IP, 4 H, R, 2 BB, 3 K) earned the victory, while Jake Mulholland (1.2 IP, H, BB, K) recorded his ninth save. Cameron Cannon and Nick Quintana (2 for 3) both homered for the Wildcats (2-5, 17-11).

No. 5 Florida State 10, Georgia Tech 2

In Atlanta, Cole Sands fanned eight in a career-best seven innings as FSU won the ACC series opener at Georgia Tech. Sands (6-1) allowed four hits, three walks and two runs. Jackson Lueck (1 for 4, 2 R, 2 RBI) and Nick Derr (2 for 4, 3 RBI) both homered for the Seminoles (8-5, 24-7). Joey Bart went deep and scored twice for the Yellow Jackets (6-7, 17-13).

In Lawrence, Kan., Gabe Holt went 3 for 5 with a double, a homer, four runs and six RBI as TTU won the Big 12 series opener at Kansas. Zach Rheams (3 for 5, 3 R, 2 RBI) also went deep for the Red Raiders (4-3, 25-6). Luke Bakula had a two-run double in the ninth for the Jayhawks (2-5, 17-12).

No. 10 Kentucky 14, South Carolina 1

In Lexington, Ky., Troy Squires homered and drove in five, and Tristan Pompey added three hits and five RBI as Kentucky routed South Carolina in their SEC opener. Sean Hjelle (5-2) was the beneficiary of seven early runs and worked seven innings with one unearned run and eight strikeouts for the Wildcats (4-6, 21-9). The Gamecocks fell to 4-6, 17-13.

Wake Forest 10, No. 11 Duke 2

In Winston-Salem, N.C., J Aiello drove in seven as WFU downed Duke in the ACC series lid-lifter. Aiello went 3 for 4 with a double, a homer and two runs. J Mueller went 3 for 3 with two runs for the Demon Deacons (6-7, 13-18). G Roberts (3-3, 8 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 8 K) earned the win. Joey Loperfido went deep for the Blue Devils (9-4, 26-6).

Purdue 4, No. 12 Indiana 2

In Bloomington, Ind., Purdue scored a pair of unearned runs in the top of the ninth to edge IU in the Big Ten series opener. Jacson McGowan had a two-run homer in the fourth for the Boilermakers (4-0, 15-10). Justin Walker drove in both runs for the Hoosiers (1-2, 20-6).

No. 13 East Carolina 5-0, Washington 1-8

In Seattle, Chris Holba allowed one run in 7.1 innings in the opener as ECU split a doubleheader at UW. Holba (7-0) scattered eight hits with one walk and two strikeouts. Ryan Ross recorded the final five outs without allowing a hit to register his fourth save. Jake Washer drove in two for the Pirates (23-7). Mason Cerrillo had three hits for the Huskies (14-13). In the nightcap, Joe DeMers (3-1) tossed a five-hit shutout with no walks and five strikeouts for UW. Levi Jordan had three hits and three RBI for the Huskies. Connor Litton went 1 for 3 with a double for ECU.

Texas A&M 9, No. 19 LSU 2

In College Station, Texas, Cole Bedford and Zach DeLoach each had two hits and two RBI, and Logan Foster added three hits and two runs as Texas A&M evened its SEC series with LSU. John Doxakis (5-1) worked eight strong innings with two earned runs and five strikeouts for the Aggies (4-7, 22-9), who erupted for five runs in the first inning. Daniel Cabrera had a two-run homer for the Tigers (6-5, 20-12).

Appalachian State 5, Troy 2

In Boone, N.C., Conner Leonard had three hits and two RBI as App State downed Troy in the Sun Belt series opener. It was the 500th career victory for head coach Kermit Smith. Riley Smith doubled twice and scored twice for the Mountaineers (1-9, 8-19). Matt Sanders and Brody Binder both had three hits for the Trojans (5-5, 20-10).

Austin Peay 10, Belmont 5

In Nashville, Tenn., Brett Newberg belted three of his team’s five home runs as APSU won the OVC series opener at Belmont. Newberg’s three dingers came in his first three at-bats. Nick Walker (3 for 5, 2 R, 2 RBI) and Alex Sala also went deep for the Govs (8-5, 17-13). Kyle Conger and Chas Hadden both had two hits and two runs for the Bruins (7-6, 12-17).

No. 1 Florida at Tennessee, No. 3 Ole Miss at Mississippi State and No. 8 Clemson at Notre Dame were all postponed due to inclement weather.
