Notre Dame 10, No. 11 LSU 5

In Baton Rouge, La., Niko Kavadas drove in three, including two in a seven-run third inning, and Eric Gilgenbach ripped a two-run homer as part of the outburst to help Notre Dame even its series at LSU. Nick Podkul added two hits and three RBI for as the Fighting Irish (1-1) handed a big lead to freshman Tommy Sheehan, who tossed five effective innings. Brant Broussard drove in three runs to lead the Tigers (1-1).

No. 14 Stanford 5, No. 9 Cal State Fullerton 3

In Stanford, Calif., Kyle Stowers went 2 for 3 with a two-run triple to key a four-run second inning as Stanford stopped Cal State Fullerton for the second straight day. Later in the inning, Tim Tawa added an RBI double, and Jesse Kuet contributed an RBI groundout. With a lead, Kris Bubic turned in five innings with three hits, one earned run and four strikeouts for the Cardinal (2-0). Jake Pavletich drove in two, and Daniel Cope went 2 for 3 with a run and an RBI for the Titans (0-2).

Duke 5, No. 10 Vanderbilt 4

In Nashville, Tenn., Griffin Conine went 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI, and Ryan Day allowed one earned run and struck out six in six strong innings as Duke evened its series with Vanderbilt. Jack Labosky drove in two, and Ethan DeCaster tossed 2.1 innings of scoreless relief with four strikeouts to post the win for the Blue Devils (1-1). Stephen Scott led the Commodores (1-1) with three hits, including a solo homer, and three runs.

Southern Miss 7, No. 15 Mississippi State 4

In Hattiesburg, Miss., Jarod Wright allowed one earned run in 3.2 innings of relief, and Luke Reynolds went 2 for 3 with a solo homer and two runs as Southern Miss beat Mississippi State for the second straight day. Matt Wallner contributed three hits and a run, and Jaylon Keys added a solo homer as the Golden Eagles scored five times in the first two innings to take control. Josh Hatcher went 3 for 4 with a homer and two RBI for the Bulldogs.

No. 1 Florida 10, Siena 2

In Gainesville, Fla., JJ Schwarz went 3 for 5 with a homer and three RBI, and Nick Horvath had three hits and three runs as Florida rolled past Siena. Keenan Bell and Will Dalton also homered for the Gators (2-0), who racked up 15 hits in support of Jackson Kowar (7 IP, 2 ER, 10 K). Joe Drpich went 2 for 4 with a two-run homer for Siena (0-2).

No. 2 Oregon State 4, Gonzaga 3

In Surprise, Ariz., Trevor Larnach went 2 for 2 with a homer and two RBI, and Christian Chamberlain was splendid in relief, pitching 3.2 hitless innings, as Oregon State slipped past Gonzaga. Zak Taylor added a solo homer for the Beavers (2-0), who took a 3-2 lead on Larnach’s second homer in as many days. Jace Vandebrake went 2 for 3 with a run to lead Gonzaga (0-2).

No. 3 Texas Tech 12-12, Maine 1-5

In Lubbock, Texas, Grant Little went 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs and three RBI as Texas Tech homered four times in a nine-run first inning of the second game to sweep a doubleheader with Maine. Gabe Holt went 3 for 4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI for the Red Raiders. Little also had a big game in the opener, going 3 for 3 with three runs and two RBI.

No. 4 Florida State 7, Xavier 2

In Tallahassee, Fla., Rafael Bournigal drove in three runs, and Cole Sands tossed five solid innings to lead Florida State to a win over Xavier. Mike Salvatore scored three times and drove in a run, and J.C. Flowers went 2 for 3 with two runs for the Seminoles (2-0). Ryan Atenberger and Conor Grammes each went 2 for 4 with a run for the Musketeers (0-2).

No. 5 Arkansas 32, Bucknell 4

In Fayetteville, Ark., Casey Martin went 4 for 6 with a homer, three runs and five RBI, and Dominic Fletcher homered and drove in five as Arkansas ripped six homers in a rout of Bucknell.

No. 6 TCU 14, Grand Canyon 6

In Phoenix, Ariz., Josh Watson went 2 for 3 with a homer, four runs and three RBI, and Connor Wanhanen and Adam Oviedo added three hits and two RBI apiece as TCU built a 9-0 lead and rolled past Grand Canyon. Nick Lodolo pitched into the sixth inning and allowed four runs (three earned) for the Frogs (2-0). David Avitia had three hits, a run and two RBI, and Quin Cotton hit a solo homer for the Lopes (0-2).

No. 7 North Carolina 12, USF 5

In Tampa, Zack Gahagan went 4 for 5 with three RBI, and Michael Busch added two hits, a run and three RBI as North Carolina evened its series with USF. Brandon Matorano homered and drove in three for the Tar Heels (1-1), who jumped on the Bulls for six runs in the first inning. Tyler Baum struck out 10 in 5.1 innings with two earned runs. David Villar had a homer and two RBI for USF (1-1).

No. 8 Kentucky 6-10, USC Upstate 5-3 (Game 1 – 10 innings)

In Spartanburg, S.C., Kole Cottam had an RBI single in the top of the 10th in the opener as UK swept a doubleheader at USC Upstate. Chris Machamer (1-0) fanned three over the final two innings to earn the victory. In the nightcap, T.J. Collett homered and drove in three to lead the offense for the Wildcats (3-0). Kyle Gensler had two hits, including a double, for the Spartans (1-2).

No. 12 UCLA 13, Portland 0

In Los Angeles, Chase Strumpf went 3 for 4 with a double, a homer and four RBI as UCLA blanked Portland. Jon Olsen (1-0) fanned seven in seven innings to record the win. Cody Hawken went 2 for 3 for the Pilots (0-2).

No. 13 Texas A&M 4, Rhode Island 3

In College Station, Texas, Texas A&M scored three over the final two innings to rally past URI. Braden Shewmake (1 for 2, 2 RBI) had an RBI double in the eighth to pull the Aggies (2-0) within one before a two-run single by Zach DeLoach (4 for 5) with one away in the bottom of the ninth spelled victory for TAMU. Laurence Hill had two doubles and two RBI for the Rams (0-2).

No 16 Louisville 8, The Citadel 3

In Charleston, S.C., Logan Wyatt went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBI as UL won at The Citadel. Tyler Fitzgerald (2 for 4, 2B) scored twice for the Cardinals (2-0). Andrew Judkins drove in two for the Bulldogs (1-1).

No. 17 DBU 5, Monmouth 3

In Dallas, Garrett Wolforth homered and scored twice as DBU edged Monmouth. Kody Funderburk knocked in a pair for the Patriots (2-0). Shaine Hughes had two hits and one RBI for the Hawks (0-2).

No. 18 Clemson 7, William & Mary 6

In Clemson, S.C., Patrick Cromwell had two hits and three RBI as Clemson nipped W&M for a second straight day. Seth Beer (2 for 4, 2 R) doubled and homered for the Tigers (2-0). Ryan Hall had two doubles and two runs, while Hunter Smith (2 for 4, 3 RBI) went deep for the Tribe (0-2).

No. 19 Virginia 10, Samford 4

In Orlando, Fla., Andy Weber had three hits and three RBI to lead UVa past Samford. Jake McCarthy went 3 for 5 and drove in two for the Cavaliers (1-1). Austin Edens (1 for 5, 2 RBI) and Taylor Garris (2 for 4) both homered for the Bulldogs (0-2).

No. 20 Texas 5, UL Lafayette 3

In Austin, Texas, Austin Todd had a two-run homer to cap a three-run ninth as Texas edged ULL. Kody Clemens (2 for 4) also drove in a pair for the Longhorns (2-0). Hunter Kasuls went 3 for 4 with a double and one RBI for the Ragin’ Cajuns (0-2).
