South Carolina 3, No. 12 Clemson 2

In Columbia, S.C., TJ Hopkins drove in the game-winner with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning, and Adam Hill allowed two hits and two earned runs and struck out 14 in seven innings as South Carolina edged previously unbeaten Clemson. Seth Beer hit a two-run homer to give the Tigers (8-1) a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning, but the Gamecocks (7-3) tied it on Matt Williams’ pinch-hit homer in the eighth. Jonah Bride walked to lead off the ninth and moved to third on a failed pickoff move before pinch-runner Danny Blair scored on Hopkins’ fly ball. Jacob Hennessy allowed three hits and one unearned run in five innings for Clemson.

No. 4 Texas Tech 8, No. 16 South Alabama 1

In Lubbock, Texas,  Cameron Warren and Clay Koelzer each had two hits and two RBI, and Kurt Wilson tripled and drove in two as Texas Tech coasted past South Alabama. Davis Martin (3-0) allowed two hits and an unearned run with four strikeouts in five innings, and Dane Haveman and Connor Queen combined to strike out six in four hitless innings of relief for the Red Raiders (10-0). South Alabama fell to 7-3.

No. 6 Kentucky 14, Houston 2

In Houston, Ben Aklinski had three hits and four RBI, and Luke Heyer homered twice and drove in three as Kentucky hammered Houston at the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic. Ryan Johnson went 3 for 3 with a double, homer, three runs and two RBI in support of Wildcats ace Sean Hjelle (3-0), who allowed one earned run in six strong innings. The Cougars fell to 5-3.

No. 1 Florida 12, Stony Brook 5

In Gainesville, Fla., Wil Dalton went 4 for 5 with three home runs and six RBI, and Blake Reese had two hits and three runs as Florida rolled past Stony Brook. Brady Singer (3-0) allowed five runs (three earned) in seven innings, and Michael Byrne picked up his second save for the Gators (10-1). Dylan Resk had two hits, including a homer, and two RBI for the Seawolves (6-2).

No. 2 Oregon State 3, Hartford 2

In Corvallis, Ore., Adley Rutschman delivered a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh to help Oregon State improve to 9-0 with a close win over Hartford. Luke Heimlich (3-0) allowed two earned runs and struck out six in 7.2 innings, and Dylan Pearce earned his first save with 1.1 scoreless innings. John Thrasher went 2 for 4 with a run, and the trio of Jake Regula, Seth Pinkerton and Drew Farkas allowed only four five hits (with eight walks) for the Hawks (1-4).

No. 3 Florida State 9, UNC Asheville 2

In Tallahassee, Fla., Cal Raleigh had three hits, including a double and a triple, and four RBI, and Drew Mendoza had three hits (two doubles) and two RBI as Florida State topped UNC Asheville. Cole Sands (3-0) tossed five effective innings with two runs and eight strikeouts as the Seminoles improved to 9-0. Carmine Pagano went 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Bulldogs (2-6).

No. 5 Stanford 7, Michigan 0

In Stanford, Calif., Tristan Beck yielded two hits and struck out eight in seven scoreless innings, and Kyle Stowers and Andrew Daschbach contributed two RBI apiece as Stanford stayed unbeaten at 9-0. Stowers had a two-run single as part of a three-run fifth, and Daschbach delivered a two-run homer in the seventh for the final margin. The Wolverines fell to 2-6.

No. 7 TCU 4, UC Irvine 3

In Fort Worth, Zach Humphreys had a bases-loaded walk, and A.J. Balta followed with a sacrifice fly as TCU scored twice in the ninth to nip UC Irvine. After being stymied for most of the night, the Frogs (6-2) rallied when Connor Wanhanen singled and Luken Baker doubled. After an intentional walk, Humphreys walked on eight pitches, and Balta (3 for 4) won it with a fly ball. Jared Janczak tossed six innings with two hits, two earned runs and six strikeouts for TCU, while Andrew Pallante allowed five hits and one earned run with eight strikeouts for the Eaters (6-3).

No. 8 Arkansas 8, USC 0

In Fayetteville, Ark., Luke Bonfield homered and drove in three, and Blaine Knight and Jackson Rutledge combined on a shutout as Arkansas slipped past USC. Knight (2-0) allowed six hits and struck out four in six innings before giving way to Rutledge, who allowed one hit and struck out two in three innings for his first save for the Razorbacks (8-2). Dillon Paulson had a pair of hits for the Trojans (7-2).

Illinois 5, No. 9 UCLA 3

In Minneapolis, Grant Van Scoy had a two-run single to key a four-run eighth inning as Illinois rallied to beat UCLA at the DQ Classic/Pac-12 vs. Big Ten Challenge. Quinn Snarskis tossed 5.2 scoreless innings, and Ryan Thompson (1-0) picked up the win with two scoreless innings for the Fighting Illini (4-3). Jake Bird allowed one earned run in 6.2 innings for the Bruins (7-2).

Louisiana Tech 4, No. 10 Texas A&M 2

In Frisco, Texas, Tanner Huddleston went 2 for 4 with a three-run homer as Louisiana Tech scored four times in the sixth inning and held on to beat Texas A&M. Matt Miller was masterful for Tech (6-3), working seven innings with five hits, one unearned run and six strikeouts. Logan Foster went 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Aggies (9-1).

Sam Houston State 7, No. 11 Vanderbilt 6 (10)

In Houston, Hunter Hearn hit a game-winning, two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th – after Chase Cryer hit a two-run homer and Jordan Cannon hit a solo homer in the ninth to force extras – as Sam Houston State (7-2) stunned Vanderbilt (9-2) at the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic at Minute Maid Park. Connor Kaiser had two hits and two RBI for the Commodores.
