1 Oklahoma State
2 UConn
3 Nebraska
4 Harvard
Statistically, Oklahoma State doesn’t necessarily stand out at the plate or on the mound. Where the Cowboys stand out is winning games, and they were scorching down the stretch, including a Big 12 tourney title. There’s a lot of pop throughout the lineup – Trevor Boone has 19 homers and 51 RBI; Colin Simpson, the Big 12 tourney MVP, went for 15 and 51; and Andrew Navigato and Christian Funk each have 12 jacks. Connecticut has 24 road/neutral wins and is steady as always. Michael Woodworth (.319/5/36) and John Toppa (.318/4/33) lead the way for the Huskies. Nebraska only hits .256 as a team, but Aaron Palensky (.324/6/31) makes the Huskers go; and Nate Fisher (7-3, 2.88) keeps them in games. Harvard gets its lift from Patrick McColl (.399/12/47) and Jake Suddelson (.382/11/53).
Sean – Nebraska and UConn are capable of making a run, but Oklahoma State has been really hot and should stay that way.
Phil: Trevor Boone, Colin Simpson and Oklahoma State carry momentum from Big 12 tourney to outlast UConn, Nebraska and Harvard.
